The Mapajo Ecolodge is located by the Quiquibey River in Pilon Lajas Biosphere Reserve and Indigenous Territory, near the border with Madidi National Park.

The Mapajo Ecolodge is just three hours away from Rurrenabaque by boat and ten minutes from the indigenous community of Asuncion del Quiquibey.

The Mapajo Ecolodge is fully owned and operated by the indigenous communities of the Quiquibey River. It was built using mostly local materials and based on their traditional style of construction. The Lodge is the starting point for discovering all the different streams and rivers, forests, mountains and communities in the Pilon Lajas territory.
